I believe healing from life’s struggles happens through connection with self and connection with community. We're all resilient and have the capability to feel peace and acceptance within, and in our relationships.

I've worked in Chicago and Los Angeles with people who have eating disorders/body image concerns, depression, anxiety, trauma and ADHD. With this experience, I've learned the value of practicing compassion while gently challenging you to look internally and lead a life that nurtures well-being, self-acceptance and self-compassion.

In our work together, I'll approach you with a warm, non-judgmental stance and utilize practical interventions that meet your needs. Also, a little humor in session goes a long way.

It's important to remember you don’t need to have a mental health disorder to seek therapy. Sometimes we just need someone to listen and need extra support through life transitions and challenges.

BACKGROUND

I hold a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.

My therapeutic practices lean toward Psychodynamic Therapy with a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and psycho-education.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked on a crisis hotline in Chicago, wrote for an online music magazine and had a short stint in the music industry.

I'm happy I chose a career as a therapist and look forward to working with you.
